How to Get to Icod de los Vinos
Although Tenerife has two airports, the best way to get to Icod de los Vinos is by flying into the North Airport. Located about 45 kilometers away, it’s the most convenient option.
But don’t worry if you find a good deal flying into South Tenerife Airport. In this case, the best way to travel around the island is by rental car, giving you the freedom to explore without depending on buses. Both the airport and the port have car rental offices. My go-to rental company in the Canary Islands is CICAR.
If you don’t want to drive or don’t have a license, you can always use the Titsa buses. From the North Airport, take a bus to the Puerto de la Cruz station in about 30 minutes. Then, catch another bus to reach Icod de los Vinos, which will take another 30 minutes. I recommend downloading the Titsa App to check the routes. Although you’ll need to transfer buses, this is a great option if you prefer not to drive.
